About meI will read almost anything. A book can keep my interest no matter what genre it is, as long as it is well written and has a point.

I try to read a couple novels a month while working through language related books.

About my libraryI've added stuff that I read from a very early age up until now. Also, I have language books/workbooks since I am interested in (for now) romance languages. I may not go through my grammar-related Spanish books now though because I already speak Spanish fairly fluently and over the last few years have learned my grammar thoroughly! ;)

Noticed you liked Lovely Bones, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here, as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it also contains a young female narrator struggling with a series of tragic circumstances. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit:

Hi Andrea, I'm Andria :)

I'm defintely going to check out your library for suggestions - I love all the books that we have in common.

Actually, I *have* read Million Little Pieces, I just didn't rate it because honestly I'm not sure how to - my feelings on it are mixed. When I first read it, soon after it came out, I LOVED it. Made all my friends read it. Then the controversy erupted and that colored my opinion. I just don't love it as a work of fiction as much as I loved it when I thought all that crazy stuff really happened to the author. Plus I'm a little annoyed by the whole lying to Oprah and the world, thing.

Your thoughts?
What Do We Plant?

(Henry Abbey)

What do we plant when we plant the tree?
We plant the ship, which will cross the sea.
We plant the mast to carry the sails;
We plant the planks to withstand the gales -
The keel, the keelson, the beam, the knee;
We plant the ship when we plant the tree.

What do we plant when we plant the tree?
We plant the houses for you and me.
We plant the rafters, the shingles, the floors,
We plant the studding, the lath, the doors,
The beams and siding, all parts that be;
We plant the house when we plant the tree.

What do we plant when we plant the tree?
A thousand things that we daily see;
We plant the spire that out-towers the crag,
We plant the staff for our country's flag,
We plant the shade, from the hot sun free;
We plant all these when we plant the tree.
