About my library I've only just started cataloging but I'm itching to add all our books. We've too many books in the loft and garage (and in my parents' loft). I'm hoping to bring them all into our very small house as soon as possible. We have books in every room - including a pile in the bathroom.

Glad you like the gardening books - Christopher Lloyd is a particular favourite, not just for the gardening aspect, which is great, but the sheer cantankerousness of him!
The best tip I can give for remembering double banking is, as well as the obvious like keeping books by the same author together, to have authors of the same genre and era fronting those shelves. So my Patricia Wentworths are fronted by my Agatha Christies and the Reginald Hills are in front of the Elizabeth Georges. It gets a bit more complicated when you have single books but I usually find that grouping by type and era helps here too. Oh for the day when I can have a library like any of those in At Home With Books (my one big wish now is a slidey ladder to go with the log fire, squidgy chair etc)
I see you've got The Lollipop Shoes, I've just added to the collection and I'm really looking forward to it - what did you think of it?
Regards
Lynne

Thanks for adding me to your Interesting Libraries. Along with Devenish I also feel pleased when someone thinks I have an interesting collection and will look forward to seeing our books in common increase in number.
I totally understand your 'itch' to get all your books catalogued - LibraryThing is incredibly addictive!
Happy LibraryThinging.
Best Wishes

I see that you have added me to your list of 'Interesting Libraries',for which many thanks.I am always pleased when somebody does this as it shows that I must have done something right with my collection.
We seem to share 48 books at the moment-it will be interesting to see how that number goes up as you add to your total.
Best wishes
