About meI am a young adult librarian at the Homewood Public Library.

About my libraryThis virtual library is not the books I own. Rather, it's the books I've been reading since I started writing them down at the beginning of 2007. This library includes every book finished starting January 1, 2007. Most of them are library books...

Hi Abby, I just read a bunch of the books you just rated - (read it with my book club - LOVED IT!), is one of my favorite YA books this summer, and I also enjoyed.

I just finished and though the 1st part was a little slow, I loved the 2nd half anc cried (always my testament to a good read.) Any suggestions for me? I have 2 1/2 weeks until school starts and want to power read the best out there! Trish
Hi! Happy to accept an invite to befriend another YA fan. I am going back to teaching 9th graders this year after a 10 year absence (having & raising [to 1st grade] my 2 kids & then teaching 5th grade for 2 years). I've read 60 books since school let out, all of them YA...love it! It's edgy-ier than it was before I left teaching teens, but I think that's what they need. Do you like sci fi? I've been assigned 2 sci fi sections for the spring & really don't care much for the genre. My favorite book I've read this summer? How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff is hauting me... Happy reading, Trish
Good evening,
I lived in Homewood for a couple of years (4th-5th grades) way back in '69/70. Most Saturdays my two best friends and I would walk downtown (you could do that safely 30+ years ago, sigh) to the library and a five and dime shop to check out books and spend our .25 allowances. Mrs. Huber at Willow Elementary stands out still as one of my favorite teachers. I saw your user name and had to look up on the chance it was the same Homewood!
