About meI am an assistant professor of English with a specialty in British literature of the long 18th century. I landed in the 18th century after a twisty journey through European modernism, early modern drama, and Asian American literature, and in my spare time I like to read contemporary and young adult fiction. I like narratives that test the limits of real, sentences that make language do things you didn't know it could do, and most anything with a wicked sense of humor.
About my libraryI accumulate titles faster than I can read them and I only enter them in this catalog when I'm procrastinating. It will be a while before my library is up to date. We may never get there. Also, my star ratings aren't necessarily evaluations of quality, but more of a haphazard way of tracking which books I've read or worked with recently.

Don't you hate it when a great book ends? I guess that just means that it'll be great next time, too!
You know, however, other than Jane Austen and Robert Louis Stevenson, I don't go back a re-read things too much. There are just too many books and authors worth my while out there.

Couldn't tell from your comments in "About my Library" whether you have read "Edwin Mullhouse" yet, but do yourself a favor and read it as soon as possible. You won't regret it for a minute.
