A graduate of Brown University, she lives in Pasadena, California with her husband, Kai, and their hyperactive lab mix. Fans of the humor and clever clues in the Sammy Keyes books will enjoy [The Wig in the Window], the first book in Kristen’s funny middle-grade mystery series. In the book best friends and seventh graders Sophie Young and Grace Yang have made a game out of spying on their neighbors. On one of their midnight stakeouts, they witness a terrifying, bloody scene at the home of their bizarre middle-school counselor Dr. Charlotte Agford (also known as Dr. Awkward).

[[Michael Buckley]] is author of the bestselling series' [The Sisters Grimm] & N.E.R.D.S.. Michael also likes to write his own bio, and this is how it goes: "After a tragic accident I was bombarded with gamma radiation. Days later, I awoke to discover I had changed. Now when I am angered I transform into an enormous, green monster people have come to call "The Hulk." I faked my own death and I'll stay dead until I can learn to control the savage monster inside me. Wait a minute - that's the bio for Bruce Banner! No, I grew up in Akron, Ohio -- nowhere near any lab where gamma radiation research was going on. When I was a kid I was a roller boogie fanatic but that hardly makes me a monster...even if people were injured a few times when I would "shoot the duck." No, the closest thing I have to a monster inside me are my Incredible Hulk underoos! Does that count?"

[[Kirsten Miller]] grew up in a small town in the mountains of North Carolina. At seventeen, she hit the road and moved to New York City, where she lives to this day. [[Kirsten]] is the author of the acclaimed [Kiki Strike] Series, which tells the tale of the delinquent girl geniuses who work secretly underground and undercover to keep Manhattan safe. In the first book Kiki and friends ventured deep under New York to save the city itself. She is also the author of the novel The Eternal Ones.

Location: Street: 6422 Montgomery St., Suite 6 City: Rhinebeck, Province: New York Postal Code: 12572-0482 Country: United States

Oblong Books & Music - Rhinebeck: KELLY BRAFFET

Saturday, August 17 (7:00 pm)
[[KELLY BRAFFET]] ([Save Yourself])
