I love humorous memoirs, fantasy, suspense, horror. I've been enjoying some young adult fiction lately (again, humorous or at least with some levity in there). Also, the writing has to be good: two great examples for me are Jonathan L. Howard's Johannes Cabal series (not keen on his Lovecraft stuff) and Jesse Bullington's The Folly of the World (and, I hope, his other books, which are waiting on my shelf). If you need tips, check out my four-star-rated or higher books.
Don't get this!
Nothing serious, religious, political, junior fiction, or memoirs of people born before 1970, please.
Please check my library - I include books I have started but didn't like, or haven't read, for whatever reason. And if you get stuck, I'd be thrilled with the third installment of Sebastien de Castell's Greatcoats series (",)
Aula's Secret Santa is brandilgrosso. Help brandilgrosso pick the right book.
mmseiple: She might like the Dexter series (starts with Darkly Dreaming Dexter) by Jeff Lindsay. It's dark humor featuring a serial killer as the main character. I think she would like it based on her favorite authors in her profile. (Tue, 04 Dec 2018 12:39:38 -0500)
