Lately I have been reading a lot of female authors. I would like to continue this trend or at least a book with a female protagonist. I like stories with struggle or some sort of journey. In terms of non-fiction, anything related to city planning or land use.
Don't get this!
Sci-Fi or fantasy, no chick lit, no biographies
I have tried several times to get through Jane Jacobs so I think I will pass on her.
pbirch01's Secret Santa is Marlane. Help Marlane pick the right book.
Aula: - 'Dorothy Must Die' by Danielle Paige (Wizard of Oz with a modern twist; great female protagonist).
- 'The Enterprise of Death' by Jesse Bullington (haven't read this one yet, but it has a female protagonist and his characterization is superb).
- 'Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits: A Novel' by David Wong (contemporary but a bit futuristic; really well written and an absolutely great female protagonist). (Fri, 23 Nov 2018 02:07:50 -0500)
xenophon: Alice Munro (Sat, 24 Nov 2018 11:50:23 -0500)
