Book tastes
I'm kind of eclectic. My Library on LT is incomplete (I'm working on finishing it), but I like Fantasy books, Novels, Historical fiction, Futuristic, Sci-Fi, Humor, Mysteries, Books about Digital Photography (How to), and much more. I do have a wishlist on Bookmooch.com
Don't get this!
You're pretty much safe as long as you don't get: Biographies, Histories, *grisly* (I don't like blood) murder mysteries, or Romance.

Lman: I know that Macophile would love any book on digital photography; as well she has mentioned on threads : "The NPR Curious Listener's Guide To American Folk Music"; "Free-range knitter: The yarn harlot writes again" or any books about the history of Boston or Ma. And another is: Ashes to Ashes (Blood Ties, Book 3) by Jennifer Armintrout.

Lman: Another book I know she would love is Forest Born by Shannon Hale; as that is the only one by this author she is missing. :) (Tue, 01 Dec 2009 04:26:10 -0500)
paixe: First, here are my choices for my SantaThing recipient! (I'll add a note in the next comment, to attempt to help with organization.) However, if there is any issue with either bargain-priced book, please substitute BOTH for Heat Wave by "Richard Castle," ISBN: 1401323820 PRICE: $9.50 URL: http://www.amazon.com/Heat-Wave-Nikki-Richard-Castle/dp/1401323820/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1259822507&sr=1-1# . I repeat, I don't think there should be any problems acquiring the two bargain-priced books, but if there is, then please replace them with Heat Wave. PRICE FOR His Majesty's Dragon, Educated Rodents, and Heat Wave: $24.48 Though the first four-book bundle is preferred.

paixe: Okay! So, that comment is kinda difficult to read since there's no formatting, but I hope it's decipherable. Anyway, HAPPY HOLIDAYS, Macophile! I had serious fun looking for your books! I work at a Borders, so I got to spend some time browsing the shelves for ideas, and then I spent HOURS scouring Amazon.com for the best prices. I promise I tried to get the most I could from the $25! I used your BookMooch Wishlist and your library as guides and, I gotta say, whichever LibraryThing gods paired us up, I'm so glad they did! Seeing all your Terry Prachetts, I knew we were kindred spirits. Or something. Terry Pratchett is probably my absolute favorite author. Also, I could have SWORN that I saw The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents on your BookMooch Wishlist, but then it wasn't there the next day. I hope that means I missed it, not that you already got it or something. Of the YA Discworld books, that one is my favorite. :-D In true Sir Pratchett form, it's got the surface humor, but it's also got such deep, interesting commentary on humanity and the world in general. Also, my very first idea for you was the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik. I was going to get you the boxed set of the first three, but I decided to get a wider variety instead. This still means that you should read them ALL! I chose them because you like historical fiction and fantasy. The Temeraire series is about the Napoleonic wars, but with DRAGONS as an airforce! They're also incredibly well-written, and, oddly, very realistic. I LOVE these books, pretty much as much as I love Discworld. The dog photography book was a bit of a compromise. After the two novels, I had $10 left, and photography books are pretty much all more costly than that. I noticed that you had several books about dogs on your BookMooch, and I know there are adorable photo collections of dogs. Hence, this book! And then it was bargain-priced, so I had the bit of extra cash for the last book, about humorous grammar (hah!) which, honestly, was a last-minute addition. But I noticed it the day it came out, and I've wanted it since. Also, you're in college and I just graduated, so I figured if I was interested in it, then you were likely to be as well. IF there was an issue with the bargain prices, though, then you might have gotten Heat Wave, the book "written" by "Rick Castle" of TV fame. This is AWESOME. I love the idea. And I love the show. So there you go! I hope you enjoy the books I chose, and I hope you have a lovely holiday! Enjoy the Massachusetts winter weather for me. Secretly, I miss it a little bit. I'm in Florida now, but I grew up in central Ohio. With it as muggy as it's been here lately, I miss the crisp, cold air. Also, I LOVE Boston and thought about going to BU for grad school. Have awesome holidays, and drop me a comment when you get to the books! (Thu, 03 Dec 2009 12:41:43 -0500)
sonyagreen: DONE
If Only You Knew How Much I Smell You isn't available for free shipping.
The price for Majesty's Dragon, Educated Rodents, and Heat Wave was over $25 (Heat Wave changed in price), so I got Majesty's Dragon, Things that Make Us Sic, and Heat Wave. (Sun, 13 Dec 2009 12:48:54 -0500)
