Book tastes

If I had to choose only one genre, it would definitely be literary fiction. In the last few years, I have had a clear tendency towards German and Russian authors in translation since my family has very tight bonds with those lands. However, lately, I have started to appreciate more and more novelists coming from English-speaking countries. Specifically, just to name a few, works by William Maxwell, Wallace Stegner, Carson McCullers, Sylvia Plath, and Graham Greene are among my favorites. I frequently care more about character development and quality of prose than plot. Having said all that, no pressure. I am always up to discover well-written contemporary books. Please, feel free to surprise me!

Don't get this!

In general, romance, religion, fantasy and sci-fi are not my kind of thing. Although I can perfectly read Spanish and also Catalan, please, get only books in English. Finally, I would prefer not to receive any work that was originally published in Spanish or Catalan.

Other notes

Check out my library. It can help you to see what I like and also to avoid sending me books I own or have read (they are listed on LT collections "my library" and "completed" respectively).
