Book tastes

This is my mystery/science fiction collection (my general book collection is listed under ‘xenophon’ which contains literature, history, philosophy.) Because so many of my fellow secret Santa participants list mystery and science fiction in their requests I thought I would use this librarything collection for golden age mysteries or 1950/1960s speculative fiction requests. Compilations in either genre would be great. I have a fair amount in my library so it could be a good guide. Books about books or literary essays/history on these topics would be excellent.

Don't get this!

Please stay within mystery/speculative fiction areas as anything outside these might overlap my general book collection listed separately.

Secret Santa

mysterysf's Secret Santa is rosalita. Help rosalita pick the right book.

libraryperilous: Astounding: John W. Campbell, Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, L. Ron Hubbard, and the Golden Age of Science Fiction might be a good choice for a book about books on this topic. (Mon, 03 Dec 2018 11:46:50 -0500)

Capybara_99: "The Future is Female!: Women's Science Fiction Stories from the Pulp Era to the New Wave" -- another anthology that seems a good fit (Thu, 06 Dec 2018 15:06:02 -0500)

rosalita: I also love Golden Age mysteries, and I was delighted to see you already have many of my favorite authors — Rex Stout, Ellery Queen, Patricia Wentworth. Hopefully the one I chose lives up to those in some way. Enjoy! (Thu, 06 Dec 2018 16:20:15 -0500)
