Book tastes

I enjoy realistic fiction, historical fiction of any kind (except military-related novels), non-fiction, and, honestly, every other kind of book. I am a future high school English teacher so I try to keep a diverse palette of books in my briefcase. I seriously love every single genre!

Don't get this!

I have every Harry Potter Book and would prefer not to receive war-related books (like books centered around World War 2 and World War 1 and set in the battlefield)

Other notes

Maybe pick a book you would like to have read in high school English class? It would be cool to find a book to use in my future curriculum.

Cariola: Well, I'm a retired English professor and a fan of historical and literary fiction, so here are a few books I've enjoyed in recent years that she might enjoy:

Circe by Medline Miller

A Slant of Light by Jeffrey Lent

The Underground Rail Road by Colson Whitehead

The Essex Serpent by Sarah Perry

Florida by Lauren Groff

A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles

CaitZ: Hi Crayella

I picked "Stardust" by Neil Gaiman. Your love of Harry Potter made me think this is the right book for you. Its mixture of adventure, magic, humor, and romance makes it a fun and quick fantasy read. I believe it has a wide variety of themes and ideas to be discussed and would have loved reading it in high school instead of a standard classic.

Hope you enjoy reading it.

Merry Christmas
