Aula: Happy SantaThing, Grotesque!

My doctoral thesis is on late medieval England, so this was a fun pick. Warner's 'Edward II: the Unconventional King' is a well researched and nicely written biography of Edward II. Tout's 'Edward the First' is a bit of a mainstay for medieval research on Edward I - not the most saucy of reads but some really good work on his reign. Ginzburg's 'The Cheese and the Worm' is a great read - a really nice example of a close examination of a single incident that could so easily have been missed among other research.

I'm not sure if you'll get three books or two, as I'm not sure how the LT staff will deal with the exchange rate (pounds to US dollars). Whatever happens, I hope what you do get gives you even more of an understanding of medieval English history.

Kindest regards,

Aula
