I would like something easy to read after a traumatic year. I like historical fiction such as the Shardlake series and Ken Follett novels. Huge fan of Outlander. Jodi Picoult is also a favourite with her moral dilemmas. So not these authors please.
Don't get this!
Erotic fiction, vampires and other supernatural books aren't wanted.
Since my husband died this year concentration is poor and so would welcome something easy to read as adistracion.
Northern_Light's Secret Santa is Jenni_Canuck. Help Jenni_Canuck pick the right book.
Tropical-Library: LT recommends The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, Sarum by Edward Rutherford and Are You Somebody? The Life and Times of Nuala O'Faolain by Nuala O'Faolain (Wed, 05 Dec 2018 20:09:04 -0500)
Honigfrosch: I searched for books with a 5-star rating in Northern_Light's library, and tried to find more from these authors. I suggest "Invader" by Simon Scarrow, and "The Summer Queen" by Elizabeth Chadwick. (Thu, 06 Dec 2018 13:19:24 -0500)
