To give everyone time to locate a copy of The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, let's aim for an April 7th start date. I have a lot of material about Carson McCullers floating around somewhere on my laptop. I will search for it.

I put something up on my blog about it. I hope no one minds a little publicity.

Welcome, Melissa! Looks as though I should welcome you to LT, too. Urania1 always runs a good group read. Should be fun. Glad you're joining us.

Welcome, Gonzalo!

BostonBibliophile's got quite the influential blog going.

Hope U. doesn't mind this for an appetizer: The Carson McCullers Project

I'm only able to post one line at a time. Anybody else having this trouble here?

It's the 8th. I have to go milk goats and garden. I'll be back with Carson McCullers material in a nonce ... this evening.

Hi all. Anybody out there reading? I knew that I was going to out of town around the start of this group read, so I began it early. I should finish it tomorrow or the next day. Impressions so far?

I am rereading slowly, limiting myself to a chapter a day so I can absorb more. I am struck by how much I've forgotten since my last reading. I didn't remember at all the drunken man at the bar/diner, for instance.
