Not sure if this really counts, but since someone asked about cooking magazines, I thought I'd see if anyone else out there reads food blogs and, if so, which ones you all like.

I am a fan of:

http://www.seriouseats.com
http://smittenkitchen.com

I also like:
http://ninecooks.typepad.com/perfectpant...
which picks certain pantry ingredients that people might or might not have used before and information on them and how to use them in recipes.

Finally, I love Lost and Found Cookbooks, which is all about old and unique cookbooks. You can also buy cool old books from the site.

Almost all the food blogs I read are vegetarian. Here are the ones that aren't:

Chez Pim
Gastro Kid
Eat Local Challenge
AbleVaybel (by LTer LarsonLewisProject)
Tigers & Strawberries
Just Hungry

>7, chanale - If you don't mind, I'd love to know which vegetarian blogs you read as well, since I am always looking for fun things to cook that don't involve meat.

I am a fan of http://www.101cookbooks.com/ which I think is all vegetarian. The recipes are neat and the photography is beautiful.

>9, chanale - Thanks so much! I love this list. I especially love the name "What the Hell Does a Vegan Eat Anyway?" - that's funny. From a quick glance at the site, it appears beautiful!

BTW, the writer of Chocolate and Zucchini just published a cookbook. I admit, I bought it only because I take my cookbook collection seriously, but it proves to be a little gem. I have made three dishes from it in only one week, and they were easy enough to prepare and tasty. Plus, it's a funny read :)

Have a look at davidlebovitz.com. Fabulous. Bottomless resource in his links for fav places on the web as well as blogs which you can click on at the end of his fav list. He used to be pastry chef at Chez Panisse. His own blog is a definite must-see.

can't believe we've got this far and no-one has mentioned the fabulous Orangette - http://orangette.blogspot.com/ - great writing, but more importantly, delicious recipes which you could realistically come home from work and cook...
