Tim, Abby and co, wishing you all a very happy LibraryThing 2nd anniversary.
Thank you Tim for the concept of making the cataloguing of my bookshelves such an interesting timesink. And to everyone at LibraryThing for their passion and interest in making this such a great site to visit and be part of.
Wikipedia page ref which refers to Aug 29th 2005 as the day LT went live.

and thanks to member fluteflute in the post here who mentioned the upcoming anniversay a few days ago
Yes, I know it's still the morning of the 28th in the US, but thought I'd take advantage of southern timezone and get in first with anniversay wishes. After all, it's August 29th in Melbourne right now.. :-)

Thanks for mentioning me. :-)
I'm hoping that after conceptDawg's post: "collections/wish list/read but not owned is coming (yeah, yeah). No really, it's coming soon." then we might get some new features to mark the second birthday!
Anyway, thanks for a great site. I only joined a few days ago and I'm hooked already. Congratulations! The LT community is simply amazing.

Tim blogged one year old on the 28th last year, so I'm not sure if 29th is right.
His blog mentioned 5 Megabooks reached in the last week of the year. the second year has seen over 12 more Megabooks added. I hope we will do even better next year!

True but the first post of the blog was on the 29th. :-) And we haven't seen a post yet ....

The birthday is indeed tomorrow. It looks like last year I post the happy birthday blog post just minutes before midnight, which is what's leading you astray :)

Thanks for the cakeābut tomorrow's the day, officially. (Quite frankly, I'm not sure what day LT started. It could be off by two in either direction. But August 29 has become the day we commemorate.)
I don't think we'll have collections by tomorrow. But I'll see what we can do.

Happy Birthday LT and Staff!
Thanks for the fun, the features, the goodtimes and the downtimes (so we really appreciate what we miss)
Give yourselves a day off writing code and go and celebrate!
Congratulations to all the Users who've made LT too.

Happy Birthday! Thank you for filling my days with books, laughter, thought, and controversy!
In light of the latter: Have a f*&^%$#@ great day!!
(Edited to add: The last statement is in reference to another thread, where I am fighting the vulgarity wars.) (And, I might add, going down in flames!!)
