Message edited by its author, Jun 28, 2009, 5:38pm. Many thanks, Xicanti. :o) I added them to the original post. I'm trying to get them all in the same format. Hey Clam, great idea - thanks for doing this. :) Thanks, are they working now? The text window for new posts broke up my links. LOL Don't forget A Christmas Carol. #6 - Got it! What about American Gods, To ride hell's chasm & our recent The caves of steel? *tried to edit touchstones* Message edited by its author, Oct 15, 2007, 2:37am. Ops, forgot The dark is rising! Oct 15, 2007, 2:38am (top)Message 10: BusiferMaybe the list would be easier to read if you inserted some between the books? Thanks Clam for doing this! Oct 15, 2007, 7:23am (top)Message 11: clamairyLOL, they're coming eventually Busifer. That's why the post said "This thread is a work in progress, so bear with me while I search and post these links...." Oh, nice separator thingy! What's the code for that? Oct 15, 2007, 7:27am (top)Message 12: BusiferI guessed, but didn't know, so I mentioned them anyway :-) makes the line. Oct 15, 2007, 7:37am (top)Message 13: clamairyThanks! The problem is that the search feature on LT is pretty lousy, to be honest. It doesn't give you the option to search in the subject/topic line only, which would make the whole thing a piece of cake. But we'll get there... Oct 15, 2007, 7:41am (top)Message 14: BusiferYes, but the search on the forum/GD page at least limits the hits to threads here in this forum... I tried it and typing "American Gods" turned up the correct threads immediately :-) You want help I could try to find the links to some of the discussions we had. If I post the links unedited you could copy-paste them? Oct 15, 2007, 7:43am (top)Message 15: clamairyThat would be great, thanks! I tried typing "tigana and discussion" and up popped every thread with the word 'discussion' in it... I may add a link to the unoffiical discussions that were very popular, too. Like the Lions of Al Rassan thread you started, and the Mistborn trilogy threads.. I've no recollection of suggesting anything, but I'll happily take the credit. RE: searching - for specific books, all the conversations are linked off the work page There will still be a few to sift through for popular works, but far quicker than delving through all of talk. Oct 15, 2007, 8:50am (top)Message 31: clamairy#30 - I swear you left a comment on my profile about this... 6 months ago or longer. LOL Please don't make me un-archive my comments to look. ;o) Oct 15, 2007, 9:22am (top)Message 32: JPBClam's edited that post a bunch of times. So, she deserves credit for adding to post count. Oct 15, 2007, 9:24am (top)Message 39: JPBOkay I'll stop this before it gets very old, (like another thread. ;)) Oct 15, 2007, 9:24am (top)Message 40: clamairyWhat ever could you be talking about? 0:o) Oct 15, 2007, 11:54am (top)Message 41: mrgrooismOne great thing about this thread is that we can now all STILL PARTICIPATE in these Group Reads after the fact! Oct 15, 2007, 1:52pm (top)Message 42: clamairyTrue! These are the threads we don't want dying off, ever. (As opposed to a particular thread.) Oct 15, 2007, 2:04pm (top)Message 43: JPB#42 She's talking about the thread where I put a diagram of under vs. over-handed toilet paper hanging. I just know it! :( ;) Oct 15, 2007, 2:05pm (top)Message 44: clamairy:o) possibly Oct 15, 2007, 2:26pm (top)Message 45: JannyWurtsOh, way cool! I can catch up with some of the other titles, at some point! Was there ever a group read of Elantris? Oct 15, 2007, 2:29pm (top)Message 46: readafew45 > yes there was. It's the 3rd set in Clams posting. Dec 28, 2007, 6:50pm (top)Message 47: BusiferNot that I was able to participate but I thought the the following should be added to the list - Book Discussion: The Golden Compass - SPOILER FREE thread http://www.librarything.com/talktopic.ph... Can we talk about The Golden Compass, the FILM? http://www.librarything.com/talktopic.ph... Message edited by its author, Dec 28, 2007, 6:50pm. Dec 28, 2007, 7:02pm (top)Message 48: DeusExLibrisThanks for this. I've got a $50 shopping spree at Powell's coming up in a month. I'm definitely going to see if I can find the group read books I haven't read yet and chime in. Jan 16, 2008, 11:39am (top)Message 49: fleelaThis is great stuff! I think the GD needs a wiki to track and cross-reference all these discussions. Jan 16, 2008, 11:54am (top)Message 50: readafewWell the Green dragon (user) can have a personal wiki article. That would be a great idea. Things like the birthday list, books read and such could be tracked there and everyone would have the ability to update it instead of one or 2 getting stuck with it. Mar 1, 2008, 3:11pm (top)Message 51: clamairyOkay, this has been updated. Sorry it took me so long. May 2, 2008, 9:33am (top)Message 52: BusiferMaybe this should be added to the second, 'other books discussed', section? The Earthsea novels - http://www.librarything.com/talktopic.ph... May 2, 2008, 9:08pm (top)Message 53: clamairydone! May 3, 2008, 3:11am (top)Message 54: Busifer:-) Thanks!!! Apr 14, 2009, 9:34am (top)Message 55: reading_foxJust to add - the Eyre Affair thread is here Apr 14, 2009, 10:10am (top)Message 56: clamairythank you. there should be two... I can't add them now because I'm using my laptop and I don't trust the 'mouse' on this. Message edited by its author, Apr 14, 2009, 10:11am. Jun 28, 2009, 5:39pm (top)Message 57: clamairyOkay, I have been working on the list today... I'm sure we're still missing one, though... Jul 1, 2009, 4:37am (top)Message 58: Shanra*huggles Clam* Even if you're missing on this is a terrific list and took a lot of effort! You and all who found and posted links should be proud of yourselves! *also bumps it up a little again* I agree...this is a lot of work. Thank you, clamairy, as usual you take very good care of us.
