My Husband is Glenn Robert the fourth 8) The only way in his family to have the Glenn Robert name is to be born twenty years after your father. Ex: His great grandfather was born in '21, his grandfather '41, his father '61... His dad didn't want another Glenn (he hates being a 'third') so he was really relived that Rob was to be born the second week of January of '82. Sadly, Rob came 3 weeks early, Dec 23, and his mom made a labor room decision to not name him 'Mark' as they had planned but to name him the 'fourth'! Neither my husband or his dad have ever really forgave her 8)

There are a few people in my family that share first and last names with each other. When we talk about one of them, we have to say "Which one?" ;)

#62 - That's pretty crazy! My husband shares his name with his dad and grandfather too. It's a nice tradition but it was pretty frustrating when we were getting a mortgage and the credit people wanted to know how my hubby signed up for credit cards two decades before his birth year! It's also weird because he and his dad have the same birth day so even though he's not yet thirty he gets things in the mail for AARP memberships and senior discounts!

The name of the fifth that we know, his name is tied to the name of the family company, so I think the name will continue to be passed on.

our dad was named after his uncle, same first and last name. this wouldn't be so weird, but the uncle has a son named after him, and my dad's cousin is older than he is.

that seems to be a common thing.. my hubby is the second (and if we ever ) have a baby he wants him to be the third

i use iPod touch for playing on LT a lot of the time; the keys are pretty awesome compared to cell-phone-style text messaging, but sometimes the "auto-text" where the iPod lexicon substitutes the "right" word for whatever i typed is complete off. other times i just can't see enough of what i've typed to know if it's all correct.

at any rate, if i ETA "iPod typos", it's because i'm working on an eeny-weeny keyboard and i'm more likely to make typing errors there than on my standard keyboard at work or my ergo keyboard at home :)

it's really not that hard, especially if you're a text messaging fiend from back in the day - the keyboard on the iPod touch is like a dream come true! :)

it's quite like an iPhone (i actually thought to compare them, but i didn't know if you'd be familiar with the iPhone)... the main difference is that the iPhone has a constant connection (because of the cell phone network) whereas an iPod Touch needs to be within "reach" of a wireless network. the nice thing about the iPod Touch (and the main reason my partner bought it for me) is that i can write myself e-mails, or notes, or mark down websites, and even if i'm not "on-line", i can save those thoughts, websites, and/or writings to send to myself whenever i come into a wireless zone. see, i do freelance writing in my "free time" (hahaha, that's funny stuff right there) and so when i'm thinking about reviewing a place, i need to be able to take notes about the things i might not recall if i try to think back on everything about the experience. the iPod Touch helps me, ultimately, to make the most thorough reviews of the places i see, which, in the end, makes me more money, because i get paid by the word. more details recalled = more words = more pay. now i just need to find the time to write the reviews!!! oh wait, i guess i could be doing that instead of writing a 400-ish word "free" review on LT!

(that's about $20 i could have earned but didn't - sad, isn't it???)
