I really like the new "Links" but I was playing and entered the Rod Serling site twice on the Rod Serling author page. Then couldn't delete one of them.
When I saved, nothing showed, so I added it again, which is why it was added twice. I left the author page and returned and saw the two entries.
The edit didn't seem to do anything.
I think links got added by mistake. We've been working on it on the new development server, and it looks like it "escaped." (It may have been my fault.) Anyway, consider it an alpha, but it will probably be gone soon.
But we like it.
(I think it would be good if someone of the LT team would go and post about it over there - main question: will the links that get added now just be deleted again?)
Oops! Yeah, one of us launched a not-quite-ready template -- product of late night delerium and/or being distracted by the foot of snow dumping down right now.
Having inadvertently let the cat out of the bag, I'm reluctant to try and stuff it back in -- especially given that hundreds of links have already been added. I'll try and get it up to snuff quickly today.
xorscape: When that happened to me, accidently creating two links, I edited one to a new website. That way you end up with two different links instead of two similar links.
Great suggestion Mike. There's now the option to either delete or edit a link (and the link box has moved over to the right side, in the green column).
.. and it looks so much better in the green column. Less cluttered (I have to admit I didn't like it when I saw where it was this morning..).
