Not to mention that there is a long tradition of 75 book challenges that will probably continue.

Dr. Neutron will probably make the successor to 75 Books Challenge for 2010 in early December. I suspect that most of the people who know about it will go there for their 75 books in 2011 challenge.
Why do we need two 75 books in 2011 challenges. Since Rainyreader has done us the favor of setting up the thread already, perhaps Dr. Neutron will not have to establish a competing one. It's "furshur" we all don't need two different groups to follow.
I'm personally planning to join drneutron's group when it's created, rather than this one; he's done a good job of organizing it in the past (listing group reads, coming up with a system for highlighting important threads within the limitations of the Talk system, welcoming all new members) and it seems disrespectful to jump ship just because someone else started up a 2011 group early.
I'm certainly happy to combine forces with rainyreader for the 2011 challenge if that's what folks want to do. I don't consider it my group, it belongs to us all. If we do use this group, rainyreader will nned to manage the group home page, etc. It's a bit of work. If rainy's not interested in that aspect of things, I'll go ahead and start the follow-on to the 2010 group in early to mid December.
