I am astonished when a parent, having to purchase a thesaurus for their child, has no idea how to ask for it. Usually, as is the case of yesterday's customer, they sound out some garbled word hoping I will know what they need. This customer was not even close, sounded like she asked for "shelory" and when I asked the subject matter, she informed me it was like a dictionary for "cinnamons"...no kidding. How does one go through, say, the 6th grade and not know what a thesaurus is or how to pronounce it? Sorry for the rant.
