Hi members - I just joined this group.
Is anyone else signed up with Leisure's book club? You know, two books every six weeks, auto-ship? I don't work for them or anything; I just want to know.

I was in the Leisure Horror Book Club at one time. There were some authors I really liked but others I didn't care for. I liked Charlee Jacobs ('This Symbiotic Fascination'), Grahm Masterton ('Spirit' was great).
The thing that bugged me most was the mass of Vampire books. I don't get into those much.

Leisure publishes too much crap for me to join their book club. But Leisure has done a FANTASTIC service to horror fans in general.
Currently, my Leisure 'must buy' authors are Richard Laymon (his work is crap, but what glorious crap it is!), Simon Clark, Sarah Pinborough, Tim Lebbon, Michael Laimo and Deborah LeBlanc.
I've also been picking up Brian Keene's stuff because I hear how good he is, but I have to admit: I HATED The Rising with it's wise-cracking demon-zombies and the goofy zombiefied animals...

Hi,
new here too. :) I just recently rejoined the Leisure book club. It's a cheap and easy way to get new horror books every month. But, I am hoping the quality doesn't suffer as it seems they churn these books out fairly quickly.
