Good luck with your Challenge. 10karenmarie#8 - I just found a very nice hardcover edition of The Sound and the Fury at the thrift store last week. Just read you review. Hmmm. Depressing. Thank goodness I only paid $.27 for it. 15hemlokgangUnrealistic to reach 80 when I am aiming for a total of 100 and there are some many good books to read. So, I am adjusting that goal to half of my overall goal.....50 TBRs off the shelf, all of which have been there since prior to 2010. 21karenmarieWhat did you think of Tree of Smoke? It's on my shelves but there it languishes. Loved The Uncommon Reader too. The Queen chasing her corgis up to the bookmobile is a great thing to imagine. 22hemlokgangI love the corgi stuff too, since I own one and she keeps me in stitches (figuratively, not literally). I tried to read Tree of Smoke twice......it dragged so much that I gave it up. It is an award winner, and truth to tell I am a bit surprised. 24hemlokgang#12 - The Game of Silence by Louise Erdrich - TBR since early 2009, although I forgot to enter it into my LT collection until I started it...oops! 26clueI knew I didn't have my entire library in my LT collection but I've been surprised and dismayed at how many I've pulled off the shelf to read and then found they weren't there. Oh well, I guess this will help get them there. 28hemlokgang#15 - Martin Dressler: The Tale of an American Dreamer by Steven Millhauser - TBR since November 2008 | AboutThis topic is not marked as primarily about any work, author or other topic.
