One of the anomalous series currently in LT is the Left Book Club, a set of 1930s/40s socialist publications from the UK.

All the works in it (or the vast bulk of them, certainly) were first published (or first published in English) under this imprint, and later republished; most never got beyond it, but several of them independently became quite long-lived (eg, The Road to Wigan Pier). A discussion in 2008 argued in favour of keeping it as an edge case, which seems to have stuck - there's currently a very detailed series page, some of which is my work but mostly other peoples'.

So... should it be changed to a publisher series, or is it best just to leave well alone? I'm happy to do the work to fix it up either way, but thought I may as well ask for second opinions first.

Going with what you say, it is a publishers series. But is it worth it to transfer them?

If the series page is complete, I'd leave well alone, since you'd lose all the work that's been put into the series description.
