...which I was reminded of when I saw the Benedict Cumberbatch clip on the Cheezburger Network (I'm not linking it because it's not necessarily appropriate for all ages but those who are of age should TOTALLY look it up!) Bonus for some of us: he's a ginger in the clip.

OK, it has been a long time since we had a HEG thread because for a minute I forgot how to do it! Me!

Above is still the best player ever to pick up a racquet, even though he's finally getting a little long in the tooth. Even if you lost a match, you'll always be hotter than stupid old Djerkovic, Roger!

I don't like him leaning against the window like that! what if it broke?

I thought of Suge as soon as I heard the news! ha!

HA HA HA! I thought of me as soon as I heard the news too!!

dang! this picture won't behave! hmmmm can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Jan 31, 2011, 2:20pm

#7: When they announced it I couldn't remember why I knew the name. Then catbastet said, "That's one of suge's HEGs."

Sounds like the opposite of Charlie's Angels.

11suge
Jan 31, 2011, 2:24pm

I like that! Suge's HEGs has a certain appeal... hot guys, different nationalities, at my beck and call, AND WE FIGHT CRIME!!

12MsDonna
Jan 31, 2011, 3:27pm

Trust the HEG thread to lure Suge out of hiding.

13littlegeek
Feb 1, 2011, 3:11am

Ha! I thought of suge, too, when I heard. Speaking of Henry Cavill, I watched the first episode of The Tudors tonight. Man, oh, man, sugey, you are so right, he's unbelievably hawtyhawthawt. And we get to see him bareass nekkid in the first episode! I think I may have to keep watching this show.

14LadyN
Feb 1, 2011, 7:24am

It's definitely one to watch for the hotties, rather than the historical accuracy :-) (But who needs historical accuracy when you've got hotties, right?!)

15foggidawn
Feb 1, 2011, 9:20am

#7 -- He just looks scruffy in the pic next to that article. You have to wonder what they were thinking, choosing that picture when there are so many better ones out there. They should have asked suge to pick one!

16biblioholic29
Feb 1, 2011, 9:33am

#15: I actually find him much more attractive in that picture than in some of the others I've seen.

17foggidawn
Feb 1, 2011, 9:41am

#16 -- To each her own, I suppose! ;-)

18ejj1955
Feb 1, 2011, 11:47pm

Yes, love The Tudors just for the pretty boys and girls and clothes. Definitely gave me a new appreciation for Henry Cavill and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, among others.

19foggidawn

This was definitely worth resurrecting this limping HEG thread for:

I don't know what HEG stands for. ~_~

21foggidawn
Jun 1, 2011, 8:17am

#20 -- It stands for Hot English Guy (or Hot English Girl, if one is so inclined). And, of course, we don't necessarily limit ourselves by nationality. We've also had hot Americans, Australians, and several other nationalities as well.

22Theamwriter
Jun 1, 2011, 9:09am

#20 - I'm glad that said that because I didn't know what it meant either.

#21 - I'm glad that you explain it.

I love Alan Rickman! I loved that he played Professor Snape. He also played in the movie Dogma, Sweeney Todd, the voice of the caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland, and Robin Hood: Piece of Thieves. I'll be kind of sad that they are finishing up the Harry Potter movies, and he won't be Professor Snape anymore :( But all good things must come to an end.

23jugglingpaynes
Jun 1, 2011, 10:37am

Alan Rickman was so wonderfully nasty as the Sheriff of Nottingham in Prince of Thieves! Also as the villain in Die Hard. And I got my daughter Sense and Sensibility just so we could watch him have a happy ending for a change. Still haven't seen Love, Actually. It's on the list. :o)

24ejj1955
Jun 1, 2011, 1:45pm

Let's not forget the first Die Hard movie--Alan Rickman was the ringleader of the villains. Marvelous!

In the category of my, hasn't he grown up well:

25Rozax
Jun 1, 2011, 1:54pm

Oh, in that case

Remember, gentleman: He's old enough to be your grandfather, but he could still steal your girlfriend.

And OMG hair!!! He can go with or without. :)

26jugglingpaynes
Jun 1, 2011, 3:52pm

Wow! I don't think I've ever seen him with hair!

27ejj1955
Jun 1, 2011, 4:04pm

He was in "I, Claudius," which is what that might be from. And, btw, yum!

28foggidawn
Jun 1, 2011, 4:38pm

#25 -- Excellent! Another favorite of mine. Thoug, like JP, I'd never seen him with hair before.

29Theamwriter
Jun 2, 2011, 9:56am

#24 - I love Rupert Grint and yes he has grown up quite handsomely.

#25 - I don't remember his name :( But I loved him playing in X-Men movies.

30varielle
Jun 2, 2011, 6:01pm

Was it Prof. Xavier? and I think his character in I, Claudius was Sejanus. (sp?)

31Theamwriter
Jun 2, 2011, 8:42pm

Yes it is Professor Xavier I believe, but what is his name in real life?

32jugglingpaynes
Jun 2, 2011, 9:06pm

Patrick Stewart, the most awesome Starfleet captain ever. :o)

33PollyAnnaHP
Jun 2, 2011, 9:25pm

Patrick Stewart had hair at one time?! Wow I would have never guessed! =o)

I love, love, love Alan Rickman.

34kirbyowns

Hm... I think I like him better without hair.

Sigh...Snape/Alan...

I'm not sure how to put pictures in here but if someone could find pictures of Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. Those guys are HOT! Especially Ian Somerhalder.

(less than sign) img src= "image link here" (greater than sign)
Remove spaces except for the space between img and src. You are using the image link, NOT the website link. And don't forget the quotations (That's where I usually mess up)

Edited because it managed to erase the HTML even though I added spaces. Hope you know what the less than and greater than signs look like, because it won't let me add them. :oP

47suge
Aug 26, 2011, 8:05pm

Hmmmm. I really can't figure out what I did wrong, but I'll post another. I'm of the opinion that you can't have too much Nathan Fillion in your life

Ta-da!

No, look I can't work this. No Nathan Fillion for us... boohooooooo

I've been catching up on the early seasons of House, and apart from the obvious . . .

there's plenty of other eye candy (of various nationalities . . . we'll just call them H_Gs).

(And, you know, good writing and sarcastic humor, but that's less relevant to this thread.)

52jugglingpaynes

For some reason, I can always tell when suge comes on. Something...happens. *looks up* Oooh! Pretty!

53suge
Aug 26, 2011, 10:51pm

I'm going to resuscitate this thread. I was going to make a new thread, but I kept blushing over my thread titles. Soooo, I'll just be a pansy and add on to this thread!

Benedict Cumberbatch. Why couldn't I be ten years older?

Andrew Scott. He plays Moriarty on "Sherlock" and his acting in the role is the perfect mix of sadism, creepiness, evil and hilarity. An amazing actor.
