Some thoughts and some direction

First, an aside. With all the unrest in the Middle East, with waves of people taking to the streets demanding change, the life of a dictator is a precarious one at this time. Hell, there used to be job security as a tyrannical head of state, acting with impunity while quashing the occasional uprising with unmitigated force.
However, the DIY revolution seems to be in vogue right now and that leaves some of these leaders with limited options as they contemplate their future. What the hell is an autocrat to do? Presiding over a Reign of Terror is not going to look good on a resume.
That said, somewhere in the back of my mind I see the potential for a new show, with Hosni Mubarak, Jean Claude Duvalier and Moammar Gadhafi starring in "Dancing With the Despots."
Now, on to the need for some direction. I recently completed an ebook and I want to upload it to the big retailers. However, I've come across a bit of a stumbling block as I ready the document for publication.
When previewing the book on the readers at both the Nook and the Kindle, it appears like a mash of letters with no page breaks or any fluidity. I was wondering if I should invest in one of these file conversion companies that will take my book and put into all the formats associated with e-readers on the market? Has anyone used these companies and is it worthwhile investment? It's been a DIY project to date and I'm hesitant about shelling out $$$ for something I may be able to do on my own.
Thought I was reading Johnny Thunder. Then thought Johnny Caustic . . .
"Dancing with the Dictators".
An exclusive, limited number of legitimate participants, all self-selected.
Who would object to that?
An enthusiastic audience of the vast majority of US citizens -- tens of thousands of teabaggers . . .
Can we nominate dancers? If so, then let's begin with the most obvious candidates*:
*Who put the "candid" in "candidate"?
G. W. "Mission Disccomplished" Bushit.
Dick "Enhanced Torture Exceptionalism" Chaney.
Donald "Known Known Psychoderelict" Rumsfeld.
