Ramage Storylandia 3 by Wapshott Press This issue of Storylandia contains the novella, Dead Girl, Live Boy, by Michelle Brooks, instead of the usual collection of short stories. The thing is, these arrived on my doorstep before I requested them... or, well, before the member giveaways for them ended. Names are still being collected. Since I only need one copy, I retracted my requests. 61dragones5.> LOL! I won't say I'm drowning, but I do get more review copies than I can quickly read and review. 91dragonesThat's how you start building up a TBR stack like mine. I have about 4 months worth of reading stacked up, then, on top of those, I received four new just this month. My March ER book, The Wreckage by Michael Robotham plus the three I listed above. I usually read about 6 a month... 10DevourerOfBooksOh, I'm not starting a TBR stack. I have a 5-shelf bookshelf filled with ARCs from top to bottom, and that's after getting rid of a ton I realized I'd never read. They just seem to be flowing in extra fast right now. 111dragonesI try to limit the number of ARCs I accept per month... but, even so, I've been making absolutely NO progress. My stack stays between 14 and 26 books high. I read one, and get two more, read two, get three... 131dragonesYep, that's just my review copies. Doesn't count the 8 to 12 Folio Society books and about 3 dozen others that I actually pay money for per year, or the freebies I get from bookmooch and the Kindle books... and, and, and... translated... about 15 YEARS of reading stacked up if another book never crosses my threshold... but that's likely not going to happen either. 14SusieBookwormI have a mini-stack of books to read and review; there's only about ten books on it now. I have, I think, over 400 books that I haven't read, though. 15DevourerOfBooksSo far this month I've received 19 books, some unsolicited, some I knew were coming. That's about how many I get in a normal month, not counting NetGalley copies or things I buy. 18SusieBookwormSo Shelly by Ty Roth arrived today. It came out back in February, but my copy is an ARC. 19techeditorIn the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin by Erik Larson. Touchstones won't load 20SusieBookwormAn ARC of Jasper Jones arrived yesterday, also courtesy of Random Buzzers. I think I get the most free books (via the publisher or blog giveaways) from Random House. 21techeditor" think I get the most free books (via the publisher or blog giveaways) from Random House." me too 25SusieBookwormI received a (finished) copy of Evangeline by Ben Farmer that I had requested from the publisher. I'm still surprised when publishers actually seem to not mind sending free books to people who ask for ARCs. 26SusieBookwormARCs of Noah Barleywater Runs Away and The Butterfly's Daughter arrived in the mail today, one from the publisher and one from GoodReads. 28SusieBookwormARC of All the Lives He Led by Frederik Pohl from a blog giveaway and ARC of Wildefire by Karsten Knight, I think from Simon and Schuster Galley Grab 29SusieBookwormARCs of Enclave and The Sojourn came today, one from Holt InGroup and the other from Early Reviewers. | Group: ARC Junkies681 members 8,960 messages AboutThis topic is not marked as primarily about any work, author or other topic.
