Lady of the English by Elizabeth Chadwick

Just picked this up today after coming across it in Waterstones Nottingham, not expecting it to be around until 2nd June it made a lovely surprise. Can't wait to start reading it only sad I can't make Elizabeth's talk in the same branch. Have seen her before and she's very entertaining and informative.

I have just started reading Elizabeth Chadwick's book Lady of the English and as usual I am reluctant to put it aside for anything.
It is always a joy to read a new book by her

I agree love her book and looking forward to reading this book.

I have to admit this book dragged on and on. I don't think it is her best. THE GREATEST KNIGHT and SCARLET LION were her best. I am trudging on with this one though.

Elizabeth Chadwick happens to be my all time favourite author. Her story telling combined with her historical facts make her books a very enjoyable read. Although I have not yet read "Lady of the English" I am anticipating that it will be a book that I will not abandon till the last page has been turned.
