It's my town, so I thought I would make an entry! Although there are several books that describe the streets of Ottawa, the latest I've read does a great job of Parliament Hill and its surrounding neighbourhoods: The Best Laid Plans by Terry Fallis.
I also recommend Despair and Other Stories of Ottawa by André Alexis and Charles de Lint stories, which although there are fantasy, are usually set in Ottawa.
