- You go inside the cozy library,
Which, greets you with an air of silence
To read a book or,
express your feelings,
Either by a poem, quote, story or song
And this library is the exact place to
make your feelings sound strong
And this library, so peaceful and calm
Which helps you to concentrate,
In your written part,
gives you hope and faith.
Dozens of bookshelves with various
inspirational books,
Giving you a good vocabulary,
and to your writing, good looks
In the library, you seat yourself in
a cozy chair,
making you feel like the most comfortable
witch or wizard there... -

Right now I am reading the book "Furies of Calderon", the first book in the Codex Alera Series by Jim Butcher. I am still at the beginning of the book. I have really enjoyed what I have read so far.

Ok, here's the point:
---------------------

Here, in the library you get awarded with points
For writing either a poem or story about hogwarts,
Witches,Wizards and so on.
It has to be originally created by you.
It shan't be copied from any other sources.
There shall be writing competitions every week with
specific topics.
When posting competition entries, please make sure of
the fact that you say it's 'for the competition,' in the message.

Wondrous Magic at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

This poem is my entry for the competition

There is Wondrous Magic at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
you see it happen each and every day. Reducto blasts objects out of
the way, the Staircases like to move themselves around all sorts of
Magical Creatures can be found on the Hogwarts school grounds.
There you will find all kinds of real swell Spells to learn how to use them.

Episkey is a Spell which can be used to heal people

Flagranate Charm a charm that makes items burn you when touched

Wingardium Leviosa floats objects in the air

Oculus Reparo is a Spell used to repair broken glasses

Expecto Patronum is used to repel Dementors

Alohomora unlocks doors

Colloportos makes doors seal themselves

Dissendium is a Spell used to open or reveal secret passages

Accio is a summoning charm

Expelliarmus is a disarming Spell

If a Witch or Wizard were to use Avada Kedavra, which is
also known as the Killing Curse, Crucio is the torturing curse
and Imperio is the complete control Spell. The results would be
tragic since they are the three are called the Unforgivable Curses.
These are the worst ones any evil Witch or Wizard can do since
there is no magic charm to keep their victims from dire harm

For certain the victim's death at the end is filled with fear
and doom as they breathe their last breath in a room all
alone and go to the great beyond for all eternity

Inncendio priduces a fire from the wand

Ferula is used to create a sling

Oblivate is a very powerful memory charm which causes a person to
forget everything

The Sorting Hat is a very Magical hat that when it is placed
over your head it will then sort you into one of four different
Houses at Hogwarts. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff. Ravenclaw and
Slytherin The House that earns the most points at the
end of the School year wins the Hogwarts House Cup.
While they are students at Hogwarts Schol of Witchcraft
and Wizardry they learn how to Cast Spells, make Potions,
Divinate the Tea leaves, look in the past or future, defend
themselves against the Dark Arts, how to treat Magical
Creatures, Herbology, Arithmancy and Ancient Runes
Made Easy.

To see candles and scary halloween jack-o-lanterns
floating in mid-air to have your meals appear totally
out of nowhere in the Great Hall or when Professor
Hooch was teaching the class how to properly mount
and fly on their broomsticks when Draco Malfoy threw
Nevlille Longbottom's Remembrall globe and Harry Potter
flew after it before it could fall to the groud smash to pieces.

Very good beatles,
The prize consists of a grand amount of
Points, although, there has to be more entries
for me to decide on who wins you don't really
have to trouble yourself to post huge entries :)
The story or poem must consist of beautiful vocabulary
and strong meaning.
I think your poem has a good chance of victory
In this week's competition.

Thank You amysmiling. I didn't mean to have it be so long and wordy, it just happened that way. I just write things down as soon as they pop into my head and once I start writing the words jut seem to flow out of me.

Ofcourse you lot know, that you can post poems anytime you want to earn points right?
You have to make your own topic if it's not for the competition, but do remember it's supposed to consist of something related to hogwarts, witches, wizards and anything magical in the world of witchcraft and wizardry
:)

Magical Creatures

My entry for the competition

Magical Creatures can be found all around the Hogwarts
school grounds, in the lake and Dark Forest too. Hagrid is
the teacher for The Care of Magical Creatures. If you take
the time and know where to look you can find my different
kinds of Magical Creatures like the Grindylow, Ashwinder,
Banshee, Shrake, Nundu, House-Elves, Merpeople, Thestrals,
Bowtruckles, Mandrakes, and Gnomes too are but just some
of the Magical Creatures you might possibly see.

On your first day at Hogwarts you are warned not to venture
inside the Dark Forest on pain of death because that is where
the Centaurs, Werewolves, Unicorns and other Magical Creatues
roam in the dark and scary nights where the only lights you will
see are the stars and moon above and the flashlight you might
bring. Most people do not care to go into the Dark Forest even
on a dare when evil beings lurk about in the shadows of the night
and your worst nightmares.
