Is there a list of the 1001? Or do we just read and make it up ourselves, individually?

The list is based on 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die book by Peter Boxall (the cover of the book is the picture on the group page). There are actually three editions of it, with some minor changes. Some people stick to specific edition (you'll notice 2006, 2008 and 2010 editions referenced in the group discussions) and some go for all editions, which is 1294 books.

There is a spreadsheet available too of the list, by the user Arukiyomi: http://johnandsheena.co.uk/books/

Thank you. I am always very grateful when a question turns out not to be so dumb, after all!

Is there a spreadsheet for all 1294 books? The one I found is for 1,000.

Thanks! :)

yep... my spreadsheet at the link above has all the different lists and one long list with them all together... that's if you make a donation and get the Full version. The Lite version has the 2010 edition 1001 books only.
