Hi. i've been a user of BM for a couple of years, as well as readitswapit (I'm UK based). I'd like to have the opportunity to swap CDs as well - OK it's a bit off-topic for a book site - but I was wondering if anybody had experience with Title Trader?
I used to have a membership on Title Trader and it was great a few years ago, but now the site owner has apparently focused on some other projects and TT doesn't get very good support anymore. I got caught up in a bug in their system that robbed me of a point and I was ignored when I asked for help, so I haven't been back since.
OK Quaisior - thanks for that.
I had a look at a book swap site called readers united and it had apparently seized up entirely. I just wanted to check whether title trader was similar.
I tried Title Trader, but I don't like their interface at all. It's hard to search for books, and it's kind of buggy. Then, once I go through all the trouble of searching for the books, I always find out they just aren't there. I can find some things I'd enjoy reading on BookMooch, but never on TitleTrader. I did get some books for my kids from TitleTrader, but even there it took me a while to find some things they would like to read (I was not looking for anything in particular).
TitleTrader does have a nice bonus for new users- you get three free points for your first successful trade. So it's worth a try, and they do have things other than books that you can get with your points.
