At first this rubbed me very wrong, but by the end I was impressed:

The interviewer seems fully prepared to look down his nose at genre, but Lev stands up to him brilliantly - eventually. At first he goes along with the disparaging viewpoint, but then rallies in the end and places fantasy in a more honourable light.

Interesting, this thought of a larger cultural pattern of which the new embracing of fantasy is but one symptom, but I prefer Lev's take concerning the literary sphere losing its fear of plot-driven stories.
