Recently recommended this by my 70 year old uncle! (You'll have to read it to see how incredible that is) It's the story of one day in the life of a pretty unusual man in Bristol with depression. I found it heavy going to start, but once I realised what was happening I couldn't put it down. So many things I could relate to, having had problems with depression myself. The detail and insight is amazing! But be warned, the language is pretty strong throughout. Just to have got this book together is a real achievement. It's like a modern Ulysses, but in Bristol instead of Dublin. I don't know of a more interesting or insightful novel about the state of the world we live in than this. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!

Did I forget to mention the title and author? I think I did. I'll get the hang of this sooner or later. The rather adult title is 'We're Fucked' by a northern Irish guy called Sean Armstrong.
