It has options to see just "additions" and "rejections/removals."

These terms are all terms with an asterisk by them. Work-by-work the history will make sense—this is coming up. But in this context it's not true that everything "added" was added from nothing. It applies to any time something is moved to being true or reconfirmed as true with an edit.
