I've come across a bunch of LC numbers that have been entered into the Original Publication Date field.

Anyone want to help clean them up?

Are we moving these somewhere or just deleting?

I don't know; haven't started doing anything yet. I did see one work had it in the description section. I don't really think it belongs there either, but that might be an option if we want to keep the info.

I'd say delete. There is no common field for LC #. If a member wants to record that info it should be in a catalog field not in a CK field.

I agree.

Looks like a bad import to me since it's mostly one user. Anyone look at their colelction? (i really need to get going to bellringing.)

Imports shouldn't be able to load to CK, though; that's a recipe for disaster.

OK - these are cleared.

The remaining ones are ghosts - I suspect that they are because the original date had been set to one work, then after a combination they had changed the number of the work -- and then cleaned. So at the end of the day the correct work is cleaned fully but the old one is not updated in the log. Or something like this.

Plus: http://www.librarything.com/topic/127285 . I will clear that one as well as soon as we can get to it.

20 minutes of fast clicking :)

And I think I am opening a new bug for these ghosts because they make it extremely hard to work with problems down the road... :)
