Although I've had these authors on the shelf for years, I just got around to Elizabeth LeMarchand and E. X. Ferrars and can't get enough of either of them. I just finished my sixth Ferrars and I'll start another tonight. I read Susan Hill and Kate Ellis this month, too, and found I don't care for them much. I have three Insp. Rutledge on the shelf that I want to get to in December.

I like both Elizabeths and like you don't care much for Ellis and Hill.

I have just read my third book by Sarah Caudwell. Unfortunately it seems there is only one more. I love these books -- humor and detection combined.

Have you read Christiana Brand? If you have, how do you feel about her?

I like Brand. Green for Danger is a classic.
