At http://www.librarything.com/wiki/index.php/Your_library_and_your_books I am told "There are now two comments fields, one of which ("Private Comments") is only visible to you when you're logged in."
I am logged in, and I have selected a book in my library.
I cannot find the "Private Comments" field.
Help! Thank you.
There are two places you can access this.
One is the "edit book" page. To get there, if you're on the work page, click the "edit book" page near the top; if you're in your catalog, you can click the pencil icon next to the book (on the right) to get there. Once you're there, scroll down and you''ll see private comments after the comments field.
The other place is in the catalog itself. You can modify your columns so that the private comments box shows. To modify your columns, click the little "gear" button. Once you're in there, select the column view you want to change (A, B, C, D, or E), and select "private comments" in one of your columns. Submit, then make sure that column view is selected, and you can edit private comments right in the catalog.
