Pima County Public Library has reading summer reading programs for older readers this summer - it's not just for kids.
Adults can take part in the Pima County Public Library's first reading program for adults - Summer Sleuthing. This program will run from June 4, 2007 to August 20, 2007.
The goal of the program is to promote reading as an enjoyable and stress-free activity that also can improve academic success for children as they see their parents reading. It is designed to motivate adults to come to the library on a regular basis. The program is open to anyone age 16 and older.
Activities will include: encouraging people to try new genres of mysteries, summer sleuthing at the library, book displays and special events designed for the mystery lover, and Detect It, an information session about clue gathering from forensic scientists and archaeologists.
There also will be one or more sessions with Arizona mystery writers about how they write and how they get their works published, as well as other activities.
