I have been looking at your threads about conventions. Seems you load of individualistas cannot agree on anything!
I volunteer my home in SW Scotland as a base. Nearby Wigtown has 27 second hand bookshops. The area is beautiful, beaches, hills, forests, cycling, fishing, shooting. There is a book festival every August. Artists community in nearby Kircudbright. Glasgow and Edinburgh easy reach by train for more culture.
I can accommodate 5 and feed 12, but plenty of accommodation nearby.
Not looking to make a profit out of anyone, but pay me costs, I am not rich.
Would love to meet some of you!

How close is this to the place where they filmed I know where I'm going! (Powell and Pressburger, 1945)?

Western Isles, Scottish Hebrides, I think it was, a town called Mull? I never particularly wanted to visit Scotland before, but the draw of that whirlpool is irresistible.

Nearby Wigtown has 27 second hand bookshops.

Impressive!

Mull is an island 1 1/2 hours and a ferry ride away. I stayed there once in a castle, very nice, but not as nice as here!
Mull of Kintyre (Paul McCartney) is further North.

PS
naughty Wickerman festival yearly (seen the film?).
History +++++++, even some archaeological digs nearby.
Stupendous walks, Beautiful public gardens.
Dear me, I sound like a travelogue!

# 11 probably correct, although that's not to say it isn't something we can aspire to

How else are we going to catch a unicorn?

12-13 two most heartwarming posts on the subject of virginity I've seen all morning.

What're we gonna do with a unicorn anyway?

It can babysit the goats?

I don't know. I'd rather have a narwhal.

Where you gonna keep it?

19lizstansbridge
Feb 23, 2012, 12:48pm

In the bath, along with the book overspill

In some parts of my country, they'd call those perky Scottish lasses, two "utes"
