I snagged a copy of sacrificial Magic by Stacia Kane. Fantastic series.
I snagged The Woman's Fibromyalgia Toolkit by Dawn A. Marcus. I am looking forward to using this and hoping it has some good advice and ways to help cure or lessen the effects of my symptoms. Very excited!
I'm delighted to have won Crucible of Gold by Naomi Novik. Apparently unlike in the previous ER offering of one of her books, this time having all of her previous books and a few dozen other extremely similar works actually helped.
I'm getting Constellation Games by Leonard Richardson - looking forward to it! Thanks, Jeremy and LT (and the publisher :)).
I'm so excited. I got Prize of My Heart by Lisa Norato. I've never read this author but I'm always on the lookout for new authors. As a result of the Early Reviewers reading program I have discovered new authors to enjoy. I'm still waiting on a book from January. I hope I get it soon. I like to review books ASAP. I think speedy reviewing helps me get future books.
I won The Last Song by Eva Wiseman. For two seconds I thought I had somehow gotten a copy of the stupid Nicholas sparks book, LOL!
I'm so happy! I'm getting The Sound of Red Returning: A Novel by Sue Duffy.
a new author for me - Mark Mills and the book is House of the Hunted. Excellent. I hope it's a good one.
I'm getting Unstuck: Your Life. God's Design. Real Change.
I'm glad I won anything this month. There weren't very many items that I thought had a close enough match to my collection for the algorithm to pick me. I added this one at the last minute. Now I'll have to see if my books from Dec and Jan would arrive before this new one.
I've snagged A Black Hole Is Not a Hole and I am really looking forward to reading it.
I've managed to get Isaac: A Modern Fable, my first ER book in 2012 (and first one in months). I hope that the book will be as interesting as the summary written for it.
This month, I snagged College Success For Students With Physical Disabilities.
Drat, I knew putting all my eggs into the Cultural History of Chinese Language basket might not work out for me. And as time passed without a notification, it became clear.
Whoever won this, please do a thorough review! I'm envious times infinity!
Getting The Woman at the Light: A Novel by Joanna Brady looking forward to it!
I'll be reading The Pather Panchali of Satyajit Ray: An Illustrated Study by Surendar Chawdhary. Love the film and the director so this should be very nice!
I'll be reading The Woman at the Light by Joanna Brady. Thank you, LibraryThing!
Looks like I'm getting A Black Hole is NOT a Hole ... since this is targeted at a 7-12 age range, I may do a basic over-view and ask my 12-year-old daughter to have a go at it from her perspective!
good idea, BTRIPP. I've requested and won a book on running which I requested for my runner husband to review. Worked out great.
#33 I won a book from LTMG that was for elementary school age. I read it but asked my grandsons to also read and I incorporated their comments into the review. I think it made a better review!
I won Automotive Diagnostic Systems: Understanding OBD I & OBD II a book I requested because it relates to my occupation as opposed to my avocation.
I also won Naomi Novik's Crucible of Gold. I'm not quite current with the series, though, so I have a few books to read before it arrives! :)
I'm getting Fated by Alyson Noel! So excited; I really wanted this one!
I got a rock, no just channeling Charlie Brown!!
I won The Deep Zone by James Tabor
I'm thrilled to be getting Faith Bass Darling's Last Garage Sale by Lynda Rutledge
Nothing for me but that is not surprising considering I didn't request anything. I originally requested the new Anna Quindlen book but unrequested it when I decided I would probably be pressed for time to read and review it. And that was probably a good decision because my December win came yesterday. Yay!!
i'm getting "Being Lara" i actually had forgot i requested anything this month, so this is a nice surprise. i'm still working on last months win. i've been taking my time, i have so many books to read my reviews are behind a bit, but i still get them done. :)
I'm getting The Man Who Planted Trees which was the one book I requested.
ETA: My husband and I actually planted a new tree in our garden this year - an eastern redbud! :)
I'm pleased to have won The Patient Survival Guide: 8 Simple Solutions to Prevent Hospital and Healthcare-Associated Infections by Dr. Maryanne McGuckin. I work in a children's hospital, and I, my partners and the medical staff actively work to prevent nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infections in our patients, so I'm eager to read what the author's recommendations are.
I'm getting Hollywood Boulevard by Janyce Stefan-Cole. There were several books I was interested in and I am pretty excited about this one.
I am thrilled to have won A Woman's Guide to Muscle and Strength by Irene Lewis-McCormick. This is fantastic since I am on a weight loss journey and I needed something new to add to my exercising. Now I just need to finish my January read.
I'll be getting Why Rattlesnakes Rattle. I'm looking forward to it as I enjoy learning about stuff like this.
I won The Kings Mistresses. I always get excited when I win a book I was planning on buying.
Paris in Love by Eloisa James. I've enjoyed her romances and I'm looking forward to reading her memoir.
Looks like A Vacation on the Island of Ex-Boyfriends is headed my way -- looking forward to reading it!
Another winner of The Little Red Guard here. It sounds fascinating.
>73 cindysprocket: - It doesn't look like you requested any in the February batch, so you wouldn't have gotten a notification.
Excited to receive The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker.
I'm really looking forward to receiving The Age of Miracles by Karen Walker Thompson.
Woo-hoo! I got Grace McCleen's The Land of Decoration. It seems to be a "debut" novel, but what caught my eye was the very favorable blurb by Emma Donoghue.
So happy to have won Straphanger: Saving our Cities and Ourselves from the Automobileby Taras Grescoe. I enjoy learning about public transportation which I don't have here (suburbs outside of Sacramento) and how city designs shape our lives.
I'm thrilled to be getting Anna Quindlen's Lots of Candles, Plenty of Cake.
I'm getting the same book, and I love learning about public transportation too! :)
Seriously, Just Go to Sleep! :D I'm excited!
Still waiting on my January book, but it's been a loooong time since I've won two in a row.
Joanne, I also won the Quindlen book. I'm really looking forward to it.
#84- I disliked his Anubis Gates mainly because I found his characters to be the sort I couldn't find I cared about. Are his other books better on this front?
I'm pleased to be getting "The Pather Panchali of Satyajit Ray: An Illustrated Study by Surendar Chawdhary."
I wanted the Seriously, just go to sleep! So bad, my son isn't the greatest sleeper so I thought it would be awesome. lol
I'm keeping an eye out for the new Alyson Noel YA novel. It hasn't come yet.
I won Prize of My Heart by Lisa Norato and it arrived today. :) So much quicker than I ever expected. Thanks much!
I had thought that since The Replacement Wife was an e-book, it would arrive quickly. However, no sign of it yet. Any one else got it, by chance?
#97- I won The Replacement Wife too and that was exactly what I thought. I thought ebooks had less of a waiting time. I haven't received it yet either, so it's not just you.
#98 - The only good thing is that this means that it didn't get lost in my spam folder somewhere. I hope we get it soon.
I won When I Kill You by Michelle Wan but I haven't received it yet. Anyone else receive this one yet?
i have never waited so long for a St. Martin's Griffin book, they are usually very prompt, which surprises me. I hope I get it.
Still waiting for my February book, Now What?: A Patient’s Guide to Recovery after Mastectomy by Amy Curran Baker. My coworker just underwent a double mastectomy, so I was hoping to share it with her.
(Never got my September or December book, either. Oh well)
Has anyone received Naomi Novik's Crucible of Gold yet? I've only received 1 of my last 4 wins. This is getting disappointing.
>104 RBeffa:/5 - Yeah, the publisher says they were sent on 3/13, so I'm flummoxed about where the heck they've all gotten to. Intercepted by French dragons?
>105 StormRaven:/106: That is a bummer. Our mail and other delivery systems are usually excellent here. I was looking forward to this.
104,105 : I also won Crucible of Gold and have not received it although I've already received the book I won in March. I join you in worries.
ETA: 106: Oh that damn Chinese Dragon! I knew she'd be up to something! Whoever said they were mailed is apparently wrong.
Another one who didn't get Crucible of Gold. Drat that Bonaparte!
109: The whole situation surrounding the non-appearance of Crucible of Gold seems odd. I wouldn't be surprised by this from a small publisher, but this seems amatuerish for Del Rey.
I have now received my March win from Del Rey so obviously the Feb batch got sidetracked somehow if there are multiple non-receipts.
Yep, I'm still waiting on Crucible of Gold, myself. Good to know I'm not alone!
