I'd like to see the listing of touchstones alphabetized so that it's easier to see who and what has already been touchstoned.
I like it the way it is, because every now and then on my challenge threads I run my eye down them to see if a checkmark is missing. That means a problem with a touchstone somewhere, and if they are in the current order it is much easier to guess where the problem is.
I tend to use it the way it is, but I'm not averse to more flexibility in this regard. I can see uses for enabling sorting.
Sorted touchstones would make me happy. Even better would be a link next to each listed touchstone that would take you to the post in the thread where that touchstone was first used! These together might satisfy MarthaJeanne's needs too.
4> Touchstones used to go to the spot in the thread they were first used, I thought, but then it didn't work right or something? I really like that I can use the sidebar of touchstones to go to the work, since that's what I normally want, but I also seem to recall that there was a way to get them to do both.
A toggle to switch between addition order and alphabetical order might be nice.
Yes, way back when there was a choice (I _think_ I remember that it worked like the editing tags, when you hovered it produced a selection of links). That went away a long time ago, on the _first_ re-doing of touchstones (or maybe the re-do of Talk...not sure). It would be nice to have a go-to-the-post link, in whatever setup.
