Chicago's Lifeline theater will be staging Mieville's The City and The City next year...
I loved the book, but this seems like a very challenging book to put on and even more challenging for audiences to follow.
Everything's about the subjective POV of the protagonist. I know directors can do amazing things, but this doesn't seem possible.
Well, of course there will be a play, but it will lose some of the most significant aspects of the book, so one wonders what the point will be. Still, you never know...
