Hello there!

Some evidence indicates that dead people were buried (and not cremated i.e., use of fire) in Indus Valley Civilization's culture. However, as per Hindu rites (Hinduism being one of the oldest religions), dead are creamated. Does anyone know how old is this cremation practice in the Indian suncontinent ?

Thanks!
