Hi! The language selection should be driven by the translated language names. These are all translated language name TOGETHER with the untranslated English master messages names.
This is normally part of any localization so I posted the report here and not at RSI and net at the main translation group.
As far as I can remember the selection should cover:
a) all 3 selection boxes for short language list as well as for the more languages list in CATALOG
and at BOOK EDITING
b) the language selection in the edit profile
c) thelanguage selection for groups
maybe at some other site places.
Thanks for all the work in advance!
Hi! I reopen this report because one aspect was not explained in detail.
It does neither make sense to distinguish between upper and lower case English and not translated language names nor between translated upper and lower case language names. I have seen this for translations (100% or less) using LATN based translations. It should aply also for any other script.
I am not avare of the function LOWERCASE used at LT. MediaWiki is using such functions. My suggestion: Please apply the equivalent of LOWERCASE to all translated and not translated language names first then make the sort on the result.
Thanks in advance! Best regards Reinhardt
