I never watch the news - my news blogs are all that I need, and they keep me incredibly updated with everything that goes on in the world. Sometimes, too updated. Hearing about all the bad things in the world can be very depressing, so I've stopped trying to visit them every day. Now I just spend far too much time on LibraryThing. :)

Your clue kinda gave it away, but it was mostly due to me watching a walkthrough of the latest Nancy Drew PC game, "Tomb of the Lost Queen." It's an Egypt-themed game, so a lot of the commenters were talking about Ancient Egypt. One of them said that yesterday was Howard Carter's birthday, so I went to check him out, and voila! At the bottom of the Wikipedia page was the inscription on his tombstone.

It was a pretty good hangman! If it weren't my Nancy Drew homies and for the clue, it would've taken me ages to get it. :)

As for The Avengers, I loved it. Normally, I'd think putting a bunch of superheroes into one movie is stupid (I still feel uneasy about a Justice League movie), but in this one they did it perfectly. Plus the banter was quite funny. I still like Iron Man the best (Robert Downey Jr was born to play this role), but the Hulk, Thor, Captain America, and even Black Widow and Hawkeye all shine in their roles.
