Okay, borderline bug/RSI. LT staff can feel free to redirect.
The Bookcrossing ID (BCID) field can be sorted by clicking on the header when you have it in your catalog. It also appears in permalinks.
However, it doesn't appear anywhere in the popup when you click the up/down arrow in the catalog. And if you sort by it and then click that button, it will claim to be sorting by the wrong thing. Really wrong, in a weird way, even. What it does is claim "book title" is now the primary sort and the secondary sort is what you previously had for primary. It's completely wrong, of course.
The fix would be to add BCID to the popup list. I wonder if this was the case at some point and it disappeared. I searched Talk and could never find any mention of it.
Thanks for reporting this, brightcopy. It's been bothering me that it isn't right, but I couldn't have said just how it was wrong.
