...that Stendhal's The red and the black should be appearing on Prosper Mérimée's author page?
I ask here because I wasn't following the "other authors" changes. But this just doesn't seem right.
That's an annoying effect of the "other author" changes. If you look at his author page (rather than the "combine/separate works" page), you'll see a separate area titled "also by . . ." which lists the works to which the author has been added as an "other author".
Wow. Isn't that likely to lead to combination snafus with similar or identical titles? And when I think of authors in anthologies, or folks who collaborated a lot, or those who write a lot of prefaces etc. Ack!
But, okay, I'm sure this was hashed and rehashed elsewhere plenty. Thanks!
Yeah... :) And then someone need to fix all the messes caused by this. Job security for all combiners (and a triple increase of salary; the Easter bonus will be a percentage of the new salary)
