Hi, I found the casette set of 4 tapes I have been searching for, on this site. I joined hoping that this is a site that I can loan from or buy from, but I don't know what this site is for! I fell a bit stupid asking this. I added the set to my "wishlist", but what does that mean? Can I buy or rent the casette tape set?
What is "Library Thing" for and about?
No, it's not a place to buy or sell. It's a place to catalog books.
Do you know where to search for a 1970's lecture series on casette tapes? The author was a well-published Christian writer and speaker. Thank you.
To make a catalog of your books: like a library catalog. It's a place to keep and organize a database of your books, and also review books, interact with other people about books and other things.
The "about" page explains everything pretty well.
Wow! Tim reclines on a pile of gold all day - I didn't know that bit! No wonder he gets a bit irritated at times; must get quite uncomfortable?
Thanks for the info, rsterling. Please point the way to another pile of gold so I can scrap it.
Since you added the tapes you were interested in - click on the title, then look in the green box on the top right. Click Get this book and it will open a new page with links to various places the tapes might be available. I checked a couple (you'll have to search by title & author, since it apparently doesn't have an ISBN) - there's a copy on Abebooks (though it's pricey). LT isn't a place to get books, but it's a great place to find out about them.
Why can't I connect to isidore-of-seville.com or ancientlibrary.com? Or is that another joke?
Huh. I'd been to isidore-of-seville, a couple years ago - either an outage or he's concentrating so much on LT he's let them drop, I suspect. Or he left them behind in the place that forgets how to plug in their computers (when they moved LT's servers to the new place), possibly.
