Twitter message is vain

Does anyone else think the standard Tweet intro could be improved? Starting with "Read my review of..." feels like cheap self-promotion of the type I avoid when I see it from others. It should be about the book or the rating, not the reviewer. How about "I just read..." or "I just rated ___ with 4 stars...."
"Twitter message is vain" ... hm, sounds like a tautology to me.
It doesn't have to be. Tweet's can be self-centered or they can be about offering something of potential value to others. LTs automatic Tweet format is the former. I see people sharing books they've read on Pinterest that achieve the latter. Others share those posts again because the poster is offering something like an idea or a recommendation. That works a lot better than the "look at me" tone of "Read MY review of..."
I guess this post is really a suggestion to LT. Make it easy to share a book or a specific review with a more inviting introduction.
Rewrite it when it pops up - it's an open text box, you can put whatever you like (just leave the link the same so it goes to your review). I like it the way it is - and use it regularly.
Thanks. I thought of that but couldn't get it to take (on my iPad). I'll try it again.
Ah. Mobile browsers do sometimes have trouble with popups. I haven't tried it that way - my phone is so slow (when browsing) that I don't try to do anything more complicated than a simple search. Hope it works for you!
